Richard "Ty" Schafrath
Ty, as he is known, has been an artist for over 25 years.
Ty earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree with an emphasis in drawing, painting and print making from Ohio State University. Later, he enrolled at the renowned Columbus College of Art and Design where he concentrated on figure-drawing, animation and storyboard for animation.
Eventually, Ty moved to Hollywood, CA and began working at Nickelodeon Animation Studios. There he did storyboards for "The Angry Beaver", "Dora the Explorer", "Spongebob Squarepants", and "Catdog". At Fox Studios, Ty did layouts for "The Simpsons".
Recently, Ty worked on Walt Disney's "Princess and the Frog".
